Veg momos recipe with whole wheat flour with step by step photos. Sharing a very healthy and tasty steamed veg momos recipe using whole wheat flour for outer covering.
As I mentioned in my fried momos recipe, I got many requests to share this steamed veg momos recipe with whole wheat flour. I have tried this whole wheat veg momos many times. In fact these I make momos only with wheat flour.
It is easy to make these veg momos with wheat flour, we just need to knead the dough really soft and roll the momo wrapper real thin. I have kept the filling for this veg momos recipe very simple. Just some soy sauce and a dash of salt and pepper. With minimum seasoning the flavor, taste of veggies shine through. Also make sure to saute the veggies in high flame briefly. This helps in retaining the crunch in veggies.
To make veg momos recipe with whole wheat flour you can use any brand wheat flour. Regular wheat flour used for rotis will work very well. I have added 1 teaspoon oil while making dough just to make it soft. If needed use hot water to knead the dough. The dough should very soft and pliable. Also letting the dough rest for 30 minutes helps in gluten development and the momos turn out very soft after steaming. I served the momos with a yumy momos chutney.
