Pretzel Snack Recipe: Flower Pretzel Bites
If you’ve ever worked in an office, you’re probably familiar with the siren’s song of the vending machine. Unfortunately, this temptation is not unique to the corporate world.
As a stay at home mom, I face snack time every day. While I’d prefer my little one to stick to fruits and veggies at snack time, I’m not completely delusional.
He’s not going to (willingly) make healthy choices 24/7. No one does.
With that in mind, I like to keep a stock pile of indulgent bite-sized snacks where you can eat one or two and feel like you got a special treat. My latest find? This pretzel snack recipe for “flower bites”.
This pretzel snack recipe combines salty, crunchy pretzels with sugar and sweet chocolate for an irresistible combination. Plus, they look like little flowers, so they’re the perfect spring snack, right?
I like this pretzel snack recipe because it’s quick and controllable. What I mean is I can make as few or as many flower bites as I’d like without too much fuss.
Being able to easily control how many I make allows me to stick to my healthy eating goals because there aren’t just tons of pretzel flower bites calling my name!
This pretzel snack recipe is also great for parties. They’re super cute, easy, and will hold together pretty well so make a batch of this spring snack for your little one to take to school and share or for your next office carry in. I’m sure they’ll be a hit!
Tip: While this pretzel snack recipe calls for pastel M&Ms, there’s absolutely no reason you couldn’t use any variety of M&Ms. To save money, go for what’s on sale!
Happy snacking!

Hi! Yes, these are regular size M&Ms. I found them on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Pastel+M%26M%27s&_encoding=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&linkCode=ur2&linkId=WEQQDJGBZVIPABEM&tag=monandsavhel-20&ref=as_li_ss_tl Hope that helps! 🙂 Kelli

My M&M flowers don’t fit on my pretzels. I bought Snyder’s square shaped pretzels. Yours might be bigger. Which brand did you use?

Dianna says
Hi Betty, I’m having that same issue. I also bought the Snyders square shaped pretzels. There is no way that I can get 6 m&ms around the center one. Four is about all I can fit.

Wax paper works well, also. Leave room between pretzels on sheet for decorating! Plus, if you melt too mny at the same time the melt hardens before you can finish all of them.

I am going to try using small marshmallows instead of chocolates.

That sounds good too, Ida. How did it go? Hope you liked it! 🙂

Worked with 8 & 10 yr olds and the hot surface was worry some and the melts hardened before they were done, kids also had a hard time because the candy melt did not spread out very well on pretzels so candies did not stick so well…next time we’ll use royal icing…much safer with kids! They look great!

Really easy recipe! I made it for an Easter family get together. The only thing I would say to pay attention to are the sizes. I bought Snyders waffle pretzels and they were much too small to fit the 7 regular sized m&ms. Thankfully I had mini m&ms in the cupboard so those worked instead.
