Faiz D A violent, stylish film with a real heart. Both Ryan and Carey's performances were astonishing. Ryan brilliantly captured the quiet rage of his character and Carey looked beautifully innocent and sweet, and gave a dignified performance. Their chemistry was intense. The often unspoken chemistry they shared was poignant and beautiful to say the least. A "must experience" film! Rated 4/5 Stars • Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/29/24 Full Review S P This is a bonafide top 10 movie, period. It doesnt miss a beat. If you like noir, if you like dark, slick, violent - this is it. It’s winding-refn’s best movie. Must see. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/26/24 Full Review Eric O This is an ABSOLUTE masterpiece I have re-watched this movie 5 times and never regretted it this movie is a perfect drama with wonderful dialogues Ryan Gosling as the driver is perfect. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/24/24 Full Review Bronwyn D For me, the movie tried Too Hard to be Stylized & Sexy. Some scenes were cool. The love story was weird to me also. I understood the physical attraction (hello, Ryan Gosling), but his character's demeanor was just creepy. Rated 2/5 Stars • Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/18/24 Full Review Cameron C Overrated, one cool scene. Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/15/24 Full Review Audience Member This film follows Driver, a mysterious stuntman who also works as a getaway driver. He grows close to his neighbors, mother Irene and her son Benicio, but when her husband returns home from prison, he and Driver perform a heist to protect the family that ends up going disastrously wrong, and now Driver must defend the family from the criminals who are after them and the money. Overall, due to the violent fights / kills, beautiful cinematography and Gosling's performance, this movie, which starts slow, switches gears halfway through and transforms into an exciting and enjoyable experience, which is an impressive feat for a feature with such little dialogue.
