Staff Sergeant Garman served his country during WWII in the United States Army and received two Bronze Stars. As an infantryman, he landed on Omaha Beach at H-Hour.

He was a member of the VFW Dayton Post, Eagles Area Beavercreek, OH, 29th Infantry Association, Combat Infantry Association. Gale retired from Delco Products as a model maker after 45 yrs. of loyal service. He truly cherished his friendships with his fellow Delco employees. He was an avid fisherman, bowler and golfer in the area for many years.

He will be terribly missed and remain a hero in the hearts of his family. Preceded in death by his wife, Barbara in 1999, sister, Norma Jean Ibaugh, brother Donnie and son-in-law Jeff Wray. He lived fearlessly during his year-long journey with cancer. Richard was born in Black Star, Kentucky and came to Dayton as a young boy with his parents. He was a graduate of Wilbur Wright High School class of 1953 and an active member of the Wilbur Wright Alumni.

Richard was a United States veteran of the Navy, serving as a medic. JONES, Yerkee Age 83, of Tipp City, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 7, 2011, at his home. Yerkee was preceded in death by his parents, William Mary (Jackson) Jones; two brothers, Golden Reed Jones; and by one sister, Marjorie Jones. Yerkee is survived by his wife of the past 57 years, Thelma M. In 1968, she graduated from Wittenberg University with honors. Her passions in life were family, knitting, her church, and Corvettes. Her favorite place was her family lake house on Squirrel Lake, in Minocqua, WI. She met her future husband, Bob Thomas, in the Dayton Corvette Club. They were married in 1971 and started their family in 1972.

Cinda is preceded in death by her husband, Bob Thomas; father, Marvin Landis; cousins Greg Swinger and Jim Gates.
